Designing for the conscious chooser

talk – 35 min | Feb 8 – 11:50

Exploring the dichotomy of a user’s values and their online and offline actions

Share Mozilla’s understanding of the Conscious Choosers, a cohort of people who make an effort to purchase brands and support the organizations that align with their personal values and beliefs. We explored their offline/online behaviours and values, how it translates (or does not) into the actions they take on their everyday lives, both on and off the internet.

Venetia Tay

I am the Head of Audience Insights at Mozilla and my focus is to understand our key consumer and developer audiences and be the authentic “voice of the user” in the organization. As a business strategist with a mixed methods research background, I focus on research that delivers actionable insights to inspire and shape design, product development and brand/marketing strategy. My previous experiences include frog design and Studio D.

In an alternate reality, I would have been an undersea explorer.
