About the speaker
Jonathan Lewis
I’m the Experience Design Director at Thinktiv, a strategy and innovation firm in Austin, TX, where I manage our ethnographic research and interaction design practices. Recently a large part of my work has focused on helping companies understand and ideate opportunities to leverage blockchain technology and in one case building a cybersecurity product that uses a blockchain to protect an organization’s most sensitive information.
Over my career, I have worked with teams ranging from seed-round start-ups to Fortune 100 companies to design and ship successful products and services.
I am also an instructor at the Austin Center for Design where I teach courses focused on Design Research in the context of large-scale social and humanitarian issues.
Before Thinktiv, I served as the UX Design Director for HANDSOME, a human-centered design, and technology company in Austin, Texas.
I am a proud alumnus of Austin Center for Design’s program in interaction design and social entrepreneurship. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Communication from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, and an M.S. in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University.
